We would have lost a lot more Than just our house if we would not have called you after we received your letter. As you Are aware, Joe was out of work for a little over a year. When he first got laid off of his job I called our mortgage company and explained the situation to them and asked for a loan modification. Their reply was that we needed to be 3 months behind on our payments so don't send any payments In and they would send us the forms. We did do as they said and needless to say we received nothing From them except new forms for the next 7 months and on the eight month we received foreclosure Papers and a summons to appear in court. At this point we knew that we had lost the house and Our credit would be ruined for a long time. A couple of days after we received the foreclosure papers we Received a letter from you telling us that you could help us. To be honest I threw it on the desk thinking It was too late. Then we received the second letter from you, thank goodness you don't give up. I talked To Joe and we decided to call you which we did and you came to our house and sat with us and explained The short sale and how it worked. We signed a sales contract with you that day and bingo we had a buyer In about 11 days. Even after the contract to purchase was signed you held our hand daily through emails And telephone calls letting us know where things were and how they were going. You called the loss Mitigation department of our mortgage company for daily updates keeping them going on the acceptance Of the offer which they did take. That was because you dotted the I's and crossed the t's to begin with. I do believe that when it comes to short sales you are a pro. To end our story we closed on the house on December 30th, 2009. Our credit is rocky because of the late pays but can be rebuilt inside of a year Because we did not go through foreclosure. And this friend is because of you.
